The 1500'+ aircraft runway is about as nice as it gets for a remote bush strip with clear approaches on both ends and just a short flight from Fairbanks across the flats so you can keep an eye on the weather You can park your plane and step outthe door immediately onto your front porch. The fishing in Dune Lake is incredible and abounds with rainbow trout and silvers. You areimmediately plugged into a vast trail network that will afford you a life time of adventure and experiences only the back country of Alaska canunlock. If you prefer to travel by land, you can access your cabin by trail starting at Nenana, AK. Denali National Park is just to the south and inevery direction, is country full of wildlife. Surely your mind is already reeling with the stories that will be shared around the campfire under thestars, and with a bit of luck, the northern lights. This isn't your typical cobbled together shanty in the middle of nowhere. As far as Alaskanremote cabins go, its more appropriate to call it a bona-fide house. A solid foundation, conventional 2x6 construction, vinyl windows, metal roof,wired for electricity and lighting, plumbed for gray water, vaulted ceilings, and a level of craftsmanship that leaves but one conclusion: your cabinwas built well and will stand the test of time. The attached large shop area with double steel doors and a ramp will allow you to keep your ATV'sand snowmachines warm inside and well maintained. The large front porch just begs for a comfy chair and a hot cup of morning coffee to watchthe sunrise. Inside there is plenty of space to share the adventure with your friends and family. With one bedroom on the main floor, two upstairs, and large loft area upstairs as well there is no shortage of sleeping space. There are even a couple bunk bed frames in the shop area. There isa bathroom on the main level complete with a sink and shower. The kitchen has a plumbed sink, plenty of cabinet space, and an island complete with breakfast bar. The smell of blueberry pancakes made with berries picked from the backyard will be the wakeup call to all whohave the good fortune to join you at your getaway. And of course, in the tradition of Alaskan remote cabins, you have an outhouse in the backyard with antler handles worthy of a postcard.
